Here are some marketing strategy:
- Watermark you image with your image hosting website URL.
- The image will be used in forum, so you need to promote your own service. Upload your image to your website and post in various forum using the image.
- Comment in your friend’s social website profile, like myspace, friendster, and facebook. You can find birthday ecard and upload the ecard, then comment in their profile using the image.
Running an image host can be quite expensive, because it consumes lots of space and bandwidth. That’s why you have to tweak your space. When you first start, you can set more the quality image to be high. Some script can do this. You can also set for bigger upload filesize . After you have many visitor and you could not handle the expense, you can lower the quality and upload filesize. So it is very important to check on your statistic for space and bandwidth usage.
You can monetizing your image hosting using adsense, and adbrite. My two favourite. Put your ads before the upload box. This will attract more clicks. Happy building your own business and good luck.
